• Truly epic game, chaps - easily the longest and most "unit-heavy" I've had the pleasure of sitting in on for a time. Needless to say, in stereotypically British fashion once I became a mere observer I found myself rooting for the underdog...

• There was one point in the game I thought there was a chance of winning. But when I lost the northern territory it quickly turned south, literally. Resources became scarce fast.

• He seemed to keep quitting games early because he didn't get his tactics right or something, rather just playing the game and learning from your mistakes and how your opponent plays instead of conceding in your first turns or trying to because you don't want loss stats. I used to lose a lot when I started playing, part and parcel of learning the game getting your arse kicked in the early days, a few months later I was winning more than losing and top of the leaderboard for about two years.

• Yep seemed more interested in the technical mechanics of the game and improving it rather than playing it. Shame, best to get on with it and get to know the people here.
